The IRFA is committed to providing the retirement sector with relevant and useful information. We have partnered with Quicket to assist us with the registration of partcipants for our webinars. To ensure the that we can continue to provide these sessions we will be charging a fee for particpation going forward. The registration fees are R350 for non-IRFA members and R250 for IRFA member.

We have invited the OPFA to provide information on the following topics:

Time: 10h00 to 11h30

Topic 1: Employer requests to retirement funds to withhold the payment of withdrawal benefits while legal action taken by the employer against a former employee is being finalised. The OPFA will share its view on this practice and provide the reasons for the views.

Topic 2: Referrals of Pension Funds Adjudicator determinations to Financial Sector Tribunal (FST). The OPFA will provide information on the processes to be followed by persons aggrieved with a determination of the Pension Funds Adjudicator.
