We are hosting a discussion on the two National Treasury retirement reform papers released during December 2021 dealing with:

Topic 1: Early access to retirement benefits (members being allowed to access a portion of their retirement savings while they are still employed). This will be presented by: Nancy Andrews (IRFA Legal and Tax Committee Chairperson), Hettie Joubert  (IRFA Legal and Tax Committee Member) and Pieter Cronje (IRFA Legal and Tax Committee Member).

Topic 2: Discussions around how umbrella funds can be structured to provide better outcomes for members (there are elements of the discussion document that will impact on all employment based retirement funds).This will be presented by: Leanne van Wyk (IRFA Legal and Tax Committee Member), Prabashani Naidoo  (IRFA Legal and Tax Committee Member) and Chantal Manson (IRFA Legal and Tax Committee Member).

The IRFA President Geraldine Fowler will open the session and IRFA Executive Officer Wayne Hiller van Rensburg will host the event with the IRFA Membership Officer Siza Khumalo.

All registered delegates will have an opportunity to submit questions for possible inclusion in the webinar.
